When I was a small girl, if you bought a nice dress, the hem would be finished with lace or ribbon. By the 1980s, however, garment manufacturing shifted overseas to places where labor was cheap but not necessarily highly skilled. Thus ready-to-war clothes feature fewer and fewer of these finishing details, but when I sew for myself, I still like to finish my hems with lace.
Funny how you start to see all kinds of new uses for things when you look at the world in 1:6 scale. So just like worn out socks can become sweaters for your dolls, Odd bits of flexi lace can become lingerie:

baby doll |

|
teddy and wrapper |
|
nightie |
|
tap pants and camisole |
bustier
Which style would your dolls choose for a romantic evening?

Wow cute! I love the red top and tap pants! I like the nightie too. Sexy stuff! I hope to see your etsy store soon. Ahem. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Dani,
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the lingerie. I'll have to get busy and make some inventory if I'm going to open an Etsy store.
Very cute! I like them all. I have to break it down per lady. Danielle likes the Teddy and wrapper. Nikki likes the black nightie. Lisa is the black bustier type. She likes black and red.
ReplyDeleteAntoinette likes her baby dolls. I personally love the red tap pants and camisole, so we will give that to my avatar, Vanessa.
Hi Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteGlad your ladies like the lingerie. I might have to add another product line when I get my store together.
